The Life of Gus The Dog with the Big Head edition by Sandee RoquemoreMaxwell Children eBooks Reviews

  • I have been following Gus' story since they found him. I am first very grateful to.the people.that took care.of him. We need.more of these people.around. Second, his story is heartbreaking but with a happy ending. The book did a great job in telling his.story. A.story that can be of any stray dog. I wish that all.of them had a happy ending as Gus and it makes me so happy to follow his.New great.life!
  • Love this book! A great conversation starter for kids to be animal advocates!
  • Love this little book. ❤️
I networked to help Gus when he was being rescued so this book has alot of meaning to me. Everyone should know Gus' story.
The streets of Houston are cruel for stray/dumped dogs.
    This book brings awareness!
  • There is nothing not to like about this book. Such a sad story with a wonderful ending for Gus. Adults and children can learn compassion.
  • I follow Gus' Journey simply because animals deserve love and I enjoy reading about his life changing highly amusing witty stories. I hope more strays can be saved to have the happy ending as Gus and Trixie.
  • This is a well-written book which tells the story of a dog who was abandoned on the streets and abused. It is based on the true story of Gus who was found and rescued and brought back to health by an amazing team of caring people. It is packed full of good advice and awareness lifters for children of all ages.
  • I truly enjoyed the book, very heartwarming story. I think this book would be good in a classroom setting read to children by educators. It definitely teaches children (if not all of us) that animals have feelings and needs. I followed Gus' story from the beginning and thank everyone involved in his care.
  • My lil niece and nephew enjoyed the book. This a great story to share and promote advocacy for our fellow dogs. This book is for older kids. Not many pictures for the toddler age group.
